perfect

My coursemates would have heard this... But for those who have not heard about it before, I'll try to explain it as best as I can. Hope you'll be able to understand what I'm saying. ;)

There was a time in the semester we were learning about emulsions. This comprises of an oil phase and a water phase mixed together. Most of us know that this is impossible. You can try to do that with cooking oil and water and I assure you that it won't mix just like that. What you need is an emulsifying agent. Something to bring the two phases together. That's just about how we get the oil and water to mix.

It is said that as you increase the viscosity (the thickness) of the liquid, the emulsion you make would become more stable. Meaning that if it is more viscous, the emulsion would be able to stand longer without separation of the oil and water phase.

There was one lesson when our lecturer asked us "Name me an emulsion that is very stable, but has low viscosity".... Hmm.. That was tough. We couldn't think of what it might be.

If you've been guessing now, lets see if your guess was right. hehe...

It is milk! Milk is also a type of emulsion. Just that it is not man made. You don't see milk with oil coming out of it. Even expired milk has clumps but still not separated into two phases. Do you see what I'm trying to say?

Other emulsions which are man-made cannot stand the test of time. After some time they will separate into two phases if it is not good enough..and one of the reasons mentioned for poor stability is low viscosity. On the other hand, milk is something not man-made. It is stable even though it has low viscosity.

What man makes cannot compare with the perfection of what our Creator made.
